Security Fundamentals

Security is a major issue for enterprises, with breaches leaving them vulnerable to legal sanctions, financial loss or reduced customer confidence. This subject introduces students to modern security issues and technologies by considering various aspects, from security principles and policies, to network and system security, as well as intrusion detection and cyber security. Students learn and apply programming skills to implement secure communications while demonstrating professional practice in a group project. 安全是企业面临的一个主要问题，违规行为使他们容易受到法律制裁，经济损失或客户信心降低的影响。 本课程通过考虑各个方面（从安全原则和策略到网络和系统安全性，以及入侵检测和网络安全性）向学生介绍现代安全问题和技术。 学生学习并应用编程技能来实现安全通信，同时在小组项目中展示专业实践。 本课程介绍是由往届学长学姐回忆编辑而成。 课程内容关于常见的安全加密算法。Lecturer和大部分tutor为印度老师，Lecturer的口音非常难听懂，课程内容也非常晦涩难懂。Assessment为用C语言简单的实现两个加密算法，难度不大，会提供一些代码作为基础只需要完成核心的部分。Assessment容易拿高分，再完成比较简单的两个quiz就可以通过此课。Final考试需要对课程内容有一定的理解，所以本课拿高分比较难，通过不成问题。
